AMS applications to work as a Mentor open near the mid-end of the Fall and Spring semesters. The application starts by submitting written responses, and then select applicants will interview for the position. A small amount of new mentors are hired every cycle, so don't forget to apply!

Great AMS mentors strive to:

* Be friendly and helpful for all users of the space
* Have passion for learning how to use all the tools and effectively communicate their usage
* Join the AMS community and work well in a team-oriented space to make the space better

Some traits (by no means an exhaustive list) of great applicants are:

* Devoted to helping others and improving the space
* Customer service-focused
* Flexible learner and educator
* Created many projects with many tools in the space
* Teamwork and community leadership experience

Check the [Instagram ](https://www.instagram.com/aeromakerspace/?hl=en)or ask in-person for when the applications will release.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://gtae.gitbook.io/ams/info/applications.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
