Maintaining the Tormach Coolant

The Tormach uses Qualichem 250C coolant which is mixed with water.

A concentration of ~9% is the desired concentration for machining. As the machine is used, water evaporates: the concentration increases and the total amount decreases. On top of balancing concentration, we need to make sure there is a good coolant amount, otherwise the flow will decrease or seize completely.

You can see the coolant level (amount) on the coolant tray using the handy see-through scale. If the coolant level decreases past "4", you should refill the coolant tray with water / coolant concentrate, making sure the concentration overall is ~9% (add more water if too high, add concentrate with water if too low).
